Applications

Unsaturated Polyester Resin:
COBALT ACCeLERATOR IS DEVELOPED FOR CURING OF UNSATURATED POLYESTER RESINS IN COMBINATION WITH ORGANIC PEROXIDES at room and elevated temperatures.

cobalt Accelerator in comparison with the commonly used cobalt octoate gives a much faster cure at a comparable gel time. Accelerator is therefore very suitable for those processes where a faster demoulding time of the end product is required and a shorter gel time or production time of the moulding is required.

Application areas are for instance: standard hand lay-up and spray-up applications, resin transfer moulding, the production of polymer concrete. Accelerator can successfully be used for the production of cobalt pre-accelerated unsaturated polyester resins.
