Applications

Paints and coatings:
Barium can be used in place of lead and calcium. It does not give haze like lead in alkyds. It is mainly used in PVC as heat and light stabilizer with cadmium. IMPROVES GLOSS AND REDUCES LOSS OF DRY. THROUGH DRY INTENSIFIED IN CONJUNCTION WITH COBALT. ALSO ACTS AS A PIGMENT WETTING AGENT.
